Day 1 Welcome to Baku
Upon arrival at airport, you will transfer to hotel for check in and lunch. Our tour program starts with Panoramic Tour - Highland Park, Alley of Martyrs, The National Assembly (also transliterated as Milli Majlis), Flame towers- the tallest skyscraper in Baku. Walking through Baku Boulevard which stretches along a south-facing bay on the Caspian Sea. It traditionally starts at Freedom Square continuing west to the Old City and beyond. Since 2012, the Yeni Bulvar (New Boulevard) has virtually doubled the length to 3.75 km. Dinner and free time by own. Overnight Baku.
Day 2 Land of Fire Tour & Gobustan
Breakfast in Hotel. Drive to FIRE WORSHIPPERS’ TEMPLE- The most famous fire temple is the well-preserved temple Ateshgah (the Fire Place) in Surakhany. The temple was built over a pocket of natural gas that fuelled a vent providing an “eternal” fire. Trip to “FIRE MOUNTAIN” - Yanardag - a mountain on Absheron peninsula, 25 km from north of Baku. Yanardag is a natural gas fire which blazes continuously on a hillside on the Absheron Peninsula. Tour continues with the visit to the charming example of modern achticture - The Heydar Aliyev Center. After lunch we will discover Gobustan’s awe-inspiring rock art sites and natural surroundings with mud volcanoes. Gobustan Rock Art Cultural Landscape. This UNESCO-listed attraction is nothing short of an open-air museum with over 6,000 paintings and carvings etched into the sandstone kind of caves and rocks dotted all over the reserve. Dating back to 40,000 plus years, this rock art is thought to have been created during the periods from Paleolithic till Middle Ages. Later, walk into Gobustan 3D Museum; it lets you travel through time with its 12 rooms featuring some interesting exhibits related to Gobustan’s archeological findings and natural environment. And one of the must-experiences here is its 3D cinema hall. Finally, we’ll set you out to experience the region’s mud volcanoes. A travel through the untamed terrain will get you to this breathtaking phenomenon, about 20 minutes away from the museum. You’ll find them mostly in the form of craters filled with some liquidy sort of black material. Azerbaijan is famous with its traditional eastern style bazars which are very capable to offer variety of products including but not limited to Caspian caviar, seasonal fruits, spices and other locally produced items in a very reasonable prices. And also, local Azerbaijan bazars, truly reflect the lifestyle of the local people. No matter what kind of produt you are looking for here, they will find something to buy. Dinner and overnight at Baku.
Day 3 Gabala Tour
After breakfast depart to Gabala. You will enjoy the view from Teleferik – Tufandag Winter Summer Tourism Complex, Nohoor lake, one of the best natural lakes in Azerbaijan, Gabaland Entertainment Centre and Gabala Shooting Club and Waterfall. Visiting the Essenso farm to admire the purple fields, soak up the wonderful fragrance in the air, learn all about lavender cultivation, and sample a range of medicinal products, from aromatic oils to lavender honey, will fill you with positive energy. The best time to go is when the fields are in full bloom between the end of May and the end of June. After this, the driver will take you back to Baku. Dinner and overnight at Baku.
Day 4 City Tour
After breakfast you will start city tour. You will visit Old City or Inner City, Nizami Street known for shopping that begins from Abdulla Shaig Street, in mountainous part of the city and ends at railroad bed on Sabit Orujov Street, near a monument to Shah Ismail Khatai in “Black City”. Total length of the street is 3,538 m. You will also visit Fountains Square, then drive to Azerbaijan Carpet Museum and finally visit to Little Venicein Baku Boulevard which is a small town built in 1960. Dinner and free at your leisure. Overnight at Baku.
